GENERAL INFORMATION:  Patron Gardens is located in Albany, Georgia.  We are in the lower southwest corner of Georgia about 90 miles from both Florida and Alabama.  We have good growing conditions for most of the year with only occasional freezing weather.  We can usually grow all foliage categories from Evergreen to Dormant.  Patron Gardens is a daylily garden that is open for mail order business only.  It is the home garden of Ron and Pat Bonner.  The garden is not generally open to the public, but if you will be in the area and wish to visit, call to see if a visit can be arranged.  The contact information is shown above.  Someone should be available to answer your questions from 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. (eastern standard time) on Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.

SHIPPING:  We only ship to the continental USA.  We use United States Postal Service Priority Mail when shipping our plants unless a customer specifically requests UPS Second Day Air.  For Priority Mail, the shipping cost is based on your location:  East of the Mississippi River is $11 plus $1 per plant or West of the Mississippi River is $16 plus $1 per plant.  For UPS Second Day Air, the shipping cost is $20 plus $2 for each plant.  We ship, weather permitting, from 1 January 2010 to 15 September 2010.  Please contact us if you will need a shipment delivered outside of our normal shipping times.  We will try to accommodate your needs where possible.

GUARANTEE:  We are inspected by the State of Georgia for a variety of soil and plant conditions.  In states requiring certain Department of Agriculture statements, we can provide a letter from the State of Georgia.  Just request this correspondence when ordering.  We guarantee our plants to be true to name and healthy when shipped to a customer.  Any customer who receives a shipment that does not appear healthy should immediately contact us and return the plants.  Our plants are guaranteed to survive for a period of six months from shipment date.  This guarantee is based on the customer planting the daylilies without further dividing them, planting them in garden beds (not a pot), and providing adequate water and nutriments.  We do our best to keep our customers satisfied with our product.

PAYMENT:  We accept the following forms of payment from our customers:  Check, Money Order, and Paypal  (patrongdns@mchsi.com).  We will hold your plants for ten days pending your payment.  Unless other arrangements are discussed, we've found that often after that period, the customer has changed their minds about the purchase.

RUST:  We live in the "rust belt" of Georgia and must maintain a rigorous spray program to prevent rust.  Over the past three to four years we have had very good luck in maintaining a "rust free" status.  However, we occasionally will have minor outbreaks of the fungus, usually on newly introduced to our garden plants. We immediately take necessary control procedures to isolate any outbreak.  We dig and inspect all plants and have made it our policy never to ship a plant that appears to be unhealthy.  If you receive a plant in suspect condition, always contact us and immediately return the shipment for credit.  We want to build long term relationships with our customers and have no desire to complete a quick sale with unhealthy plants.

BONUS PLANTS:  Bonus plants are given on non-sale orders of $50 or over.  Plants sold during a sale or in special promotions, do not receive bonus plants.  The bonus is normally 20 - 30% of the purchased plant value.  We reserve the right to choose the bonus plant but do request that you provide a list of bonus suggestions.  Where possible, we will use your list in making our selection for a bonus plant.

SUBSTITUTIONS:  Please indicate on your order form, if substitutions may be made.  If you will allow substitutions, please provide a list of plants you are willing for us to use in place of the ones you ordered. 

SALES:  We will be posting plant sales on our "Special Promotions" page.  We intend to offer a variety of discounted plants by hybridizer, form, and color, as well as our buy one - get one offerings.  Make it a point to visit this page often to see what specials are taking place.
